FAQ’s

Who can benefit from One Run coaching services?

One Run welcomes runners of all levels, from beginners to experienced marathoners. Whether you’re aiming to complete your first 5K or striving for a personal best in a marathon, our coaching is tailored to meet your individual needs.

How does the coaching process work?

The coaching process begins with an initial consultation to discuss your running goals, current fitness level, and any specific challenges you may face. If we both find that there is a match, I’ll send some basic onboarding documentation while I develop your long range plan. We’ll go over that long range plan and the first week or two of actual training, types of workouts and answer any questions. We’ll be in regular communication through the Final Surge training app with your training plan, workout results and any issues you’ve had.

What sets One Run apart from other running coaches?

One Run distinguishes itself through personalized coaching grounded in a philosophy of focusing on one run at a time. As a UESCA certified running coach, I bring expertise to guide your journey. The emphasis on individualized plans (not a one size fits app approach), consistent support, and a celebration of each milestone sets One Run apart.

Do I need to be a competitive runner to benefit from coaching?

No, not at all! One Run caters to runners of all levels, from those embarking on their first run to seasoned marathoners. The coaching is tailored to your specific goals, whether they involve completing a race or achieving personal milestones.

What does a typical training plan include?

A typical training plan encompasses a variety of elements, including personalized running schedules, strength training recommendations, and flexibility for your lifestyle. The goal is to ensure a holistic approach to your training, considering your individual needs and aspirations.

How often will we communicate during the coaching process?

Communication frequency depends on your preference and the coaching package you choose. Typically, we have regular check-ins, and you can reach out for support or adjustments as needed through the Final Surge app. The goal is to create an open line of communication to address any questions or concerns.

What happens if I encounter an injury or setback during training?

In the event of an injury or setback, we will work together to assess the situation. I can provide advice on injury prevention, recommend modifications to your training plan, and suggest alternative workouts. It’s important to prioritize your health, and we’ll adjust the plan accordingly.

Do you offer group coaching or only individual coaching?

While the focus is on individualized coaching, I also offer group coaching sessions. Group coaching provides a supportive community where runners can share experiences, tips, and motivation.
